What is the difference between an assessment and a home inspection?
A home inspection is a broad condition check across finishes, plumbing and electrics. A structural assessment is a registered engineer examining the load-bearing structure itself — foundations, walls, slabs, roof — and giving a professional opinion on its integrity.
How quickly can you get to site?
Usually within two to four working days, and sooner where a transfer date or an insurance deadline is at stake. Tell us the deadline up front and we will say honestly whether we can meet it.
Is every crack a structural problem?
No — and saying so is half the value. Many cracks are shrinkage or thermal movement and need nothing more than filling. Our report separates cosmetic from structural so you spend money only where it is warranted.
Can I use the report for an insurance claim or a dispute?
Yes. Reports are prepared and signed by a professionally registered engineer, with photographic evidence and a reasoned opinion on cause — the form insurers, attorneys and adjudicators expect.
Do you also do the repairs you recommend?
Never. We do not carry out or sell remedial work, which is precisely why our opinion is worth having. We can design the remedial detail and review the contractor's work, but the repair itself is someone else's job.
